**The nugget was found by miners Arthur Scott and John Sharpe in Jones Creek near Ross in 1909. 
It was named after the Minister of Mines at the time, Roderick McKenzie.
After being purchased by the government for £400, it was sent to England as a coronation gift to King George V. It was later melted down to create a royal tea service. **
